Egyptian Tortoise
Also known as the Kleinmann's Tortoise, this species is critically endangered. The biggest influences towards it's extinction is loss of habitat, caused by the ever growing cities, lowering it's chances of finding food and shelter. It's gotten so bad, these tortoises can rarely be found in Egypt anymore. Two noticeable populations can be found in Libya, but those populations are slowly deteriorating as well. Some other great factors are illegal pet trade and hunting to make medicine. With the amount of Egyptian tortoises left and there low reproductive rate, it may be too late to rescue these species.

Addax Antelope
Also known as the white antelope, this species is also critically endangered. Over hunting has been the largest reason of the decline of the antelope. Because of it's slow movements they make an easy target for any hunter. Their skin and meat is also sought after by many, thus, making the addax a easy and valuable target. Another factor of their decline is the loss of habitat. Many farmers had also rid of these antelopes so their cattle wouldn't have to compete for food. These events have caused the addax population to drop to the thousands. Now many countries like Israel, Egypt, and Libya are now protecting the addax antelope. Because of these conservation efforts to save this species, it may have a chance to not die out.
